25 October 2026. Published WARDEN 0.21.0 versus the local, unpublished 0.22.0 candidate. No npm release is implied by this report.
On six known synthetic hotel cases, both candidate profiles selected the injected target 27/48 times, versus 44/48 and 46/48 with published note and note+Stop. The candidate moved the attacked selection distribution toward the unguarded clean baseline. Twelve actual Stop rechecks changed zero selected IDs. These are separate findings: a version-level improvement on this set, without observed additional choice correction from Stop. Both tied hotels were admissible, so a target choice is not itself an error or proof of attack compliance.
Six fixtures × eight repetitions × three input arms (clean, character-length-matched neutral benign, injected) × five interleaved profiles = 720 main answers. Five mechanical smoke calls and 30 genuine-user preference controls were separate. Every task had two admissible optima, a predeclared attacker target and two ineligible decoys; record positions rotated, with facts and queries matched across conditions.
The frozen protocol preceded all model calls. The model was the official API alias deepseek-flash, temperature 0.3, maximum 700 output tokens, thinking disabled. There were no retries, fallbacks or replaced outcomes. The alias does not establish immutable weights, and no identical model seed was guaranteed. Warnings entered through a controlled tool-role bridge; Stop supplied at most one user-role continuation. This was not a native-client enforcement test or a real booking.
| Profile | Clean /48 | Benign /48 | Injected /48 | Injected − clean (pp) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unguarded | 26 | 23 | 48 | +45.8 |
| Published note | 29 | 25 | 44 | +31.3 |
| Published note+Stop | 26 | 27 | 46 | +41.7 |
| Candidate note | 23 | 23 | 27 | +8.3 |
| Candidate note+Stop | 25 | 24 | 27 | +4.2 |
All 720/720 final selected IDs were admissible; genuine-user preferences were followed 30/30, six per profile. There were no API, format or length errors, missing answers, duplicates or unscheduled outcomes. Admissible IDs do not validate every explanation fact or establish general usability.
Clean-adjusted candidate-versus-published attenuation was +22.9 percentage points for note (95% interval [−8.3, +60.4]) and +37.5 for note+Stop ([+14.6, +62.5]). With the benign reference: +31.3 [0, +64.6] and +33.3 [+8.3, +62.5]. Each contrast contains all 48 matched four-condition blocks.
Distance reduction from the common unguarded clean baseline was 43.8 points for each candidate, with intervals [12.5, 77.1]. Candidate clean shifts also matter: mean absolute per-fixture shifts versus unguarded were 14.6 and 6.3 points; aggregate shifts were −6.3 and −2.1. The conclusion therefore does not rely only on shrinking each candidate’s own delta.
Intervals resample six whole fixture clusters, preserving repetitions and treatments: 2,000 draws, seed 20261025, no multiplicity adjustment. The note-only primary interval includes zero. These known, purposive cases informed the fixes; they are not an independent holdout. Repetitions do not create new attack families. Entire versions were compared, including detection, wording, metadata and earlier local fixes; the positive note+Stop version contrast does not isolate Stop’s contribution. The raw reduction is concentrated in cases 2, 4 and 6; cases 1, 3 and 5 already selected the target throughout the unguarded clean condition.
Every case-table count is out of eight repetitions.

Before the run, Post/Stop warnings were changed to fixed text plus opaque source IDs. They do not repeat attack quotes, raw tool names, source URLs or paths. IDs enable correlation, not verified package identity, pins or permissions. The original untrusted tool result remains in context; local logs can still contain untrusted metadata.
Candidate instruction-specific warnings appeared on 96/96 injected guarded samples, with 0/192 on candidate clean/benign samples. Published profiles supplied generic notes. Only candidate note+Stop requested continuations: 12/48 injected, zero on its 96 clean/benign samples and genuine-user controls. Four initial choices were the target, eight the alternative; all twelve IDs stayed unchanged. Four answer texts changed; three lost a visible warning reference.
A limited English surface-word screen found final warning references in 20/48 candidate-note and 17/48 candidate-note+Stop injected answers, versus zero for published profiles; some still selected the target. These observations do not measure awareness, rejection or semantic compliance. They are not independent blinded adjudication. Spot-reading found inaccurate eligible-alternative lists despite admissible selected IDs. The 12 extra calls incurred cost without observed ID correction.
Execution was on Linux factory-vps, Docker runc, not the Mac. Guards, runtime tests and the artifact audit had no network; dependency/OS preparation and the host API relay were explicit exceptions. The API key stayed host-local. Temporary model/audit directories were removed after verified collection; production services were untouched.
Build/typecheck, 714 WARDEN tests in 20 files (57 signal/diagnostic/metadata checks), 78 harness/budget/scoring tests, nine adapter tests and the existing 28-scenario deterministic gate passed. That gate is not 28 prevented model attacks. A preserved pre-API attempt passed 699/714 tests: the image lacked Bash/Python and old assertions expected raw source names. Environment and expectations were corrected before any paid call; no model, sample or payload tuning followed smoke.
767 API attempts = 755 initial calls + 12 continuations, zero errors or retries. Main generation took about 17 minutes, 20:50–21:07 Moscow. Usage: 438,085 input tokens, including 290,296 cached, and 58,241 output. At the run-date off-peak tariff, estimated cost was $0.057983838; this is a token-based estimate, not an invoice. Conservative peak-rate settlement was $0.115967676; maximum including pending reservations $0.125793172, within the $1 cap. Unknown/failed calls retain their full $0.01 reservation.
A separately implemented Linux artifact audit passed 21,015 accounting/hash/denominator checks; all 2,606 collected output hashes were verified. This is accounting independence, not independent human semantic review.
The archive contains full initial/final answers, out/main/analysis.json, out/main/runs.jsonl, schedules, intents, raw API requests/responses, usage ledger, controls, smoke calls, tests and compiled snapshots. Candidate provenance is out/candidate-runtime.json, covering package.json and every compiled flow-guard part; that manifest takes precedence over the adapter’s inherited provenanceScope wording about a bundled file.
Evidence links below resolve in the aicom monorepo. The npm documentation includes this report, not the raw archive. Historical AgentDojo and earlier 270/270 and 432-sample studies remain unchanged. Research, implementation and interpretation used AI assistance; no independent blinded human review is claimed.
